Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (黄金の太陽漆黒なる夜明けOgon no Taiyo: Yoake Shikkokunaru in Japan) is a role-playing game for the Nintendo DS developed by Camelot Software. It is the third installment in the series Golden Sun and was announced on June 2, 2009 at the Nintendo conference at E3 this year, confirming his title at E3 2010, along with several images of the game.

Notable environments in three dimensions. The argument of this new release is set three decades after the previous games in the series, being the descendants of the protagonists of the first game who face a new fight to save the world from a terrible end.

In the 2010 E3 video you can see that while the genre has jumped into the 3D, keeps very great resemblance to their predecessors: puzzles in dungeons, random battles are the same schedule as the oldest of the portable ...

The game takes place thirty years after the end of Golden Sun: The Lost Age. The Golden Sun has risen and psynergy has again invaded the world, regenerating. Even with all Psynergy dark vortices appear worldwide absorbing the power of the medium and the Adepts, causing chaos and destruction. This is where the new players, children of those who once managed to save the world, looking for answers to this strange phenomenon.

The graphics have been improved. If already on the Game Boy Advance a milestone those fake 3D graphics, something pixelated in battle and mapping, but they met quite well, on the Nintendo DS promise exploit the full potential of the console, with full 3D scenarios.

The game was released in 2010. In the United States on November 29, in Japan on October 28 and in Europe on December 10.

Interview A Camelot (2007)

Finally after many years of waiting the rumor has been confirmed by its creators Hiroyuki and Shugo Takahashi (Camelot). In an interview on October 10 2007 said they were going to do a Golden Sun 3 by the large number of fans of the series and because the video game company Nintendo has asked them to.

The part about Golden Sun 3 is this:

GI: I hate having to cut the thread of the conversation, but there is another game that is known and is Camelot Golden Sun. What state is the saga? I mean are you quite finished or no chances of you getting back?

Hiroyuki Takahashi: First of all, I love the game and its world. We thought we had to do another. We must! Not only is that we should do, is that we want to. Nintendo asked us to please us to. After those not started doing it, we're not sure why.

Shugo Takahashi: As Camelot, we think we are a company that makes RPGs. In an RPG you play as another character. In sports games, your role is to play like yourself. We want to let the fans we think we're making games closer to the RPG now. The concepts may seem different, but the essence of the game is RPG (do not understand what you mean, but there seems to be a Golden Sun 3). One of the reasons why we have not made Golden Sun, is because there are many fans of the game and do not want to do anything by halves. We want to give the time it deserves.

GI: If hicierais another Golden Sun, what appear in a notebook or on a table would you do?

Hiroyuki Takahashi: I think if I could combine it with a laptop and a table - with the past and the future, if I could, would be great. But it's just an idea.

So do not know the platform you will play, but we do know one thing, that one day will be released Golden Sun 3. This interview led to speculation about the gs3 and the following games.
